5 Reasons to Have Plants in the Office
April 4, 2013

The holidays are a whirlwind filled with festive parties, dinners and shopping. Christmas trees and holiday lights twinkle in every window and neighborhood.  But have you ever wondered what to do with your Christmas tree after the holidays pass?  Here are some out of the box ideas to recycle your Christmas tree:

–          Fish Feeder: sinking your Christmas tree into a private fish pond offers a perfect place for them to hide, feed and breed.

–          Bird Feeder: Placing the tree in a garden with some peanut butter, fruit and popcorn is a great way to attract birds and offer them shelter.  After about a year the tree will be brittle enough to be broken up by hand.

–          Garden Cover: Christmas trees offer winter plants protection from snow drifts or falling objects.

Did you know???: Some counties use the shredded trees as footing for their conservation walking and biking trails- A natural and reusable resource! Check with your town about their tree recycling program.
